  1. OMG i laugh so hard @ 7m with the CES story ( we hangout for about 2h and then i came and left )……. And the look on Danica face….. Priceless!!!

  2. It is interesting that they talk about building Simone’s 3D printer in Today’s video and it appeared in her video on her channel fully assembled today. Does this mean that there is a Tested video of them building the printer already shot?

  3. I kinda want to see a team of four 14 years old Ukrainians do this kit to see how well they can do it compared to the Tested team.

  4. What happened to all the stuff on that awesome shelf? I haven’t watch previous episodes in this series, but between part 3 and 4 everything vanished!

  5. It wasn’t disappointing, it’s great to see you all chatting and fooling around 🙂 Also, wonder what that clock would be like if all the parts were made out of metal instead?

  6. Agree, in the states, you can see it on YouTube, many BBC programs are blocked here (cut the cable so I do not know if it on BBC-America).

I am a James May’s fan and he is a kindred spirit of tested. Besides the Reassembler series, Top Gear and Grand Tour, he had a toys series. He had a team construct a full size lego house with lego furniture. He flew in the U2 like Adam. Most of his series are available on DVD (region 2), some of them are on YouTube. An interview/discussion between Adam and James May would be very interesting.

Began work on my timer – many thanks to the Tested crew for sacrificing thumbs and risking splinters for the glory of assembling the timer. My work set consisted of awl (good call Danica), candle, knife, pliers and fine sand paper. Sanding and waxing the pieces that held the gears helped because they formed a very tight fit without it. Stopped when I need to add the rubber bands, saving that for another day.

  7. re participation trophies: i think that’s a tough line to tread well. overdo, and you do all the negative things commonly said about them. on the other hand, i think it’s just as valuable a thing to convey in parenting that beating all competition isn’t the only valuable pursuit in life. and that, sometimes, putting yourself out there is the worthier achievement than having scored some arbitrary number of points.

  8. Teaching your child it’s ok to fail is the important point. We all fail at things in life, and knowing that that’s ok, and how to get up, try again or move on without bitterness and with grace. It’s not about winning or participation, it’s about trying your best and learning from your mistakes. Or similarly if you do win, how to win with humility and consideration for your peers.

The scientific method is a great analogy for this as it teaches you that what you learn from a negative result can be just as important, if not more so at times, than a positive one.

  9. Is there no way to watch this premium content on a castable platform? It seems a shame that these videos that we’re paying for have to be watched in a browser window and nothing else. I want this fantastic content on my TV.

  10. There are multiple browser extensions that allow you to cast to a TV, for instance if you have a chromecast and use chrome, just search for Chromecast in the web store and there are a number of options. Similarly you can do it from a mobile (cell) phone.

There’s a lot of variables so hard to give any recommendations, but for me I just cast my mobile screen to my chromecast.

  11. OK, we’re gonna need a link to that cookie recipe. Pumpkin? Spice? Cream cheese frosting?! PLEASE LINK.

I want that recipe !!! Google gives me a dozen different results for “melt in your mouth pumpkin cookies” ahah

  12. The girl-boy-girl-boy dynamic was really nice. Ripley kept changing position. Simone’s stomach oriented build strategy was unintentionally hilarious.

The “Day After” tag was great– I knew you guys actually did it but for a gnat’s whisker of adjustment.

And– you missed a trick in that I would have really enjoyed seeing the lunch! Which I presumed featured all of you.
