PROJECTIONS, Episode 17: The Past, Present, and Future of VR/AR
For this special episode of Projections, we’re joined by futurist Kevin Kelly to discuss the past, present, and future of virtual reality and augmented reality. Kevin has been following VR since its inception, during his tenure as Editor of Wired and most recently as one of the few people who’ve used Magic Leap. He also just wrote a book about the inevitable technological forces that will change our world.

Like these thoughtful exchanges. The invasion of privacy and user data grabs combined with AI need serious regulation and independent oversight. One can not leave that to individual companies or political parties will buy manipulation algorithms and our society is fued. Echo and similar devices fall into the same category. We need much more insights into what is going on with the data generated through monitoring of use. Love VR but rather pay than being the data generator for things I have no control over. As always most will see simple benefits without realizing implication outside their immediate horizon.
