  1. As a comicbook creator I’m mixed on this. The whole sequential reading concepts stands in the fact your brain is filling the gaps inbetween the panels, add motion, and sound, and works with a page pace. Therefore, allowing readers to choose their own pace, storytelling-wise, I don’t get how that would work. It looks like a chain of punchy images without real story(but I need to dig deeper than just this video to se what they’ve got in store), or pretext story people won’t care about because they just want the entertainment of a ride.

On the other hand, it’s really interesting to push the boundaries and see how far you can go without trying to make a second class animation piece.
It’s like 3D for me, it works very well with sports and documentaries, it’s very immersive because 3D needs long shots and calm pace to function properly on you. But it sucks when it comes to fiction movies and quick paced editing. Maybe it’s the same here, maybe it’s a technology that will find it’s purpose only on very specific stories and narrative fields. Just have to wait and see if those fields will be discovered ans used properly. 🙂
