Tested: Microsoft Surface Book Performance Base Review
While Microsoft didn’t announce a proper successor to its Surface Book for this holiday, they released an update to the laptop with a Performance Base model. We test the Surface Book with increased battery capacity and a new discrete GPU, as well as update you on what the past year has been like using the Surface Book as a primary work laptop.

Great review!!!
But like you said, it is way,…….way too much expensive. especially in Canada with the actual exchange rate 🙁
That, and the fact it’s not really that useful as a stand-alone tablet, makes me just wanting to buy a laptop. The thing going for it in that sense is the touch-screen, but I’m note sure that’ll be so awesome that I’d trade the other things in compared to a regular laptop.
Man! I just love the brick wall and makerbot in the background… it’s a nice little call back to the early days
Is it me, or is the audio in this review very echo-y?
I’m curious if the next iteration of this will more fully integrate the Surface Disk or Hub or Puck or whatever they’re calling it. And hopefully it has a stylus on par with Apple’s Pencil. Those two things and this is elevated to “definitely worth the money” vice “if I had extra cash I might consider splurging on this item.”
