Chris Hadfield is a Space Oddity
After five months aboard the International Space Station, astronaut Chris Hadfield completes Expedition 35 and returns to Earth tomorrow in a Soyuz spacecraft. One of his final acts aboard: recording this amazing cover of David Bowie’s Space Oddity–the first music video filmed almost entirely in space. Have a safe trip back, Commander Hadfield.

this video was definitely very meaningful considering how much he spent trying to reach to everyone. he was very wise in using social media. very good way to get people excited about science
how did they get timelapse video of the ISS at the beginning?
I’m guessing it was shot from one of the capsules taking them to-and-from?
Edit: actually, the shot towards the end would be from the capsula, and looks very different. I’ve got no idea. Tested crew, track this man down and get him on a podcast! :p
The shots of the ISS seen from afar were taken from the Space Shuttle when it used to go around the ISS to allow the Astronauts onboard the station to inspect the tiles on the Shuttle’s belly to make sure that none were damaged during the launch and that it could return safely on earth (this was a procedure they started doing after the Columbia accident).

I have to say im very impressed with this human. With all the videos he made he almost seemed like a space tourist and not an astronaut. Lucky him/us.
I realize we literally just remade all of our money, but I vote we remake one of the bills to have Chris on it. Or bring back the $2 bill and make it a CSA/Chris themed one.
