Tested Presents: “A Farewell to Arms”
We can finally reveal a project we’ve been working on since the beginning of the year, when Tested visited Weta Workshop in New Zealand! In collaboration with the world-class artists, craftspeople, and filmmakers at Weta Workshop, Adam Savage and Tested proudly present this short film. This kicks off a new mini-series that follows our journey as we put this film together just one week at Weta!

What an AWESOME idea! I’m so stoked to watch the whole series.
Wow that was awesome. Working with Peter Jackson! So much to take in.
More of this please.
I can’t wait to see the series. Cheers guys
That was awesome! Can’t wait to see the rest of the series!
Well done. Look forward to seeing the rest!
I’m no doubt going to be on tested.com even more now than ever before. I can’t wait to see how this series works out.
Such a COOL collaboration!!! Awesome job guys!
Oh My Gawd i love it!
Oh wow! That must have been amazing to make!
Fantastic! I’m lucky enough to have been able to visit New Zealand. This video has three of my favorite things: Tested, Weta, and NZ!
Oh, there must have been a lot of quoting “‘Tis but a scratch,” – “A Scratch?! Your arm’s off!” going around. In fact, I’m flabbergasted that the comments haven’t already started re-enacting the entire Black Knight scene.
Oh! This is going to be soo much fun! 🙂
Okay I’m saving this to watch when I get home from work, but let me tell you I am very excited. /excitedface
You mean they didn’t lop off your arm for realities sake then screw it back on later?
I’m disappointed Mr S, surely your MB’s work would have told you you had plenty of time, as long as you limited the reshoots and kept up your fluids.
Next time you need some lightning shooting out of somewhere and the moody smoke, no wait, I think I’m going into the Dark Crystal, or is it Fraggle Rock… hmm, or was it the Muppets, one of the classics. How do you feel about dragons? A little belching smoke and a roar or two, maybe with a little Life of Brian thrown in (you can sing can’t you) oh and the loin cloth, I think you could pull it off, I mean that’s what special effects are for am I right…
A nw adventure star is born: Adam “The Savage” Savage in “Let’s Save a Bit of the World!”.
I can see it now.
Well, Adam has an honorary doctorate from the University of Twente (Netherlands), so technically he already is a pulp hero: Doc Savage…
Well done guys! Can’t wait to see more!!! Dreams really do come true!
So good!
Wow, just wow.
Sweet love wetas work
if only the video quality was better, you guys need to talk to the guys at floatplane
Mmmmm new chair for Peter?
This here just justified my premium membership!
update: we’ve set the video live for everyone!
Adam, you recreated the Lancelot napping pose perfectly, gave me flashbacks to when I was a kid and saw Excalibur for the first time. It also occurs to me that Patrick Stewart never had hair – ever.
joey get the facial hair back man. 😉
The guys and gals at Weta are amazing!!!
