I’m loving this series. Its great to see Adam and a fellow master craftsman at work. Quite a pair of characters together here.
How many days did Adam stay?
what an amazing process! Terry is truly a MASTER.
FANTASTIC! Watching the metal move with light hammer blows. It seems as if the metal just knows which way to move. This and the quick repair is a sure sign of a true master and unbelievable craftsman.
Nice to see that Norm went along and provided that sweet camera work, good job Norm!
joey shot all of this series–i only took photos!
It’s so fun to watch Adam learn something new, because usually I’m astounded at the knowledge he has and it seems like he knows how to do everything. Great series.
So much fun!
Great series! Love seeing Adam being a kid in a candy shop. 🙂
I was hoping that the small chest plate was for Winston, But it looks like it was a miniature prototype for Hicks in Aliens, Knight Winston would look awesome 🙂
Is anyone else having issues with viewing these videos using the new Firefox quantum 57.0?
Works fine for me on v57.0
what are those long pins/bolts/rivets that are used to keep the armor in place while fitting?
They’re called Clecos. Used originally for fitting up aircraft parts before final riveting. They’re spring loaded and removable/reuseable. Great for a lot of applications.
Double comment fail 🙁
thanks, must be noscript playing up

Great series, great techniques, great people.
One of the best things about building a Caterham? Having an excuse to buy and use a full set of Clecos. Love them.
Soooo enjoying this series
Sorry, missed your question. they’re Clecos. Temporary rivets. Used in aerospace for assisting drilling and riveting of panels. Also used by other fabricators, including custom automotive/ kitcar builders.
Absolutely loving this series. I wish there were even more of the whole process!
What are those temporary stud fixings called?
Cleco Temporary Fasteners
I literally subscribed for that content and boy I am glad I did, it’s such a blast to watch.. Thank you Tested for that amazing content! Watching the master Terry English at work is an amazing thing.
Utterly fascinating as usual. All the secrets except the one about 40 years’ worth of experience making it all look easy. Adam, I am surprised you did not use a full-face shield when using that polisher. Or a light mask.
I truly hope that this artistry does not get lost, this man is a master.
I loved it when Terry asked Adam if he was having fun. That was adorably grandfatherly.
