‘Judi Dench wasn’t in Goldeneye’ – sorry guys, as Alan Partridge says, ‘stop getting Bond wrong!’ 😉
I’m a huge Bond fan, read the books at the age of 11-12, the librarian was very hesitant lending them to me, until I told her I had seen all the films.
GoldenEye was my first of the series, my dad brought it home pretty much as soon as it was on VHS and I watched it 20+ times (age 8-9 at the time). Soon after that I bought a briefcase and filled it with toy-approximations of Q-lab gadgets… =)
The Bond franchise is my Star Wars, and I’m really happy that it is being handled very well these days. When I saw Daniel Craig in Layer Cake I immediately thought ‘that guy could play a really good James Bond’.
Desmond Llewelyn was my favorite Q. Sadly, he died in a car accident a little while after shooting The World is Not Enough, but not before delivering one the best exit scenes.
As much as I love these podcasts, I feel they end just as they start to get good.
