Podcast - Adam Savage Project
Gratitude – Still Untitled: The Adam Savage Project – 1/21/20
Adam reflects on the life and recent passing of his dog Huxley and we share stories of our pets. It’s also the season of San Francisco’s Sketchfest, and we catch ourselves coincidentally in the same place of a random West Wing rewatch. Give your pets an extra hug tonight, everyone!

Now I have had a good cry this morning. Thanks for sharing the story of your dog Adam. Have been thinking of you and your dog this week. Will is exactly right about Joker. It is a great movie but it does not matter that it is in the Batman world and I think of it as not being the classic Joker. I would like to see you all discuss the movie because I think it has something important to say about mental health.
The West Wing set is split in the first season on two different sound stages, They had the yellow hallway in common. When the show was renewed for season two they rebuilt the set on one sound stage so the entire set was on one stage. This is explained in various commentaries on the first season DVDs.
And now I am all misty eyed at work. My father once told me that you have a pet for a small part of your life, but for them, you are their whole world. Sorry for your loss Adam.
Thanks for sharing Adam. Stood sobbing while doing the dishes 🙂
It made me warm inside hearing the way he got to go. So dignified. My previous dog got really sick and spent three days in at the hospital before he drew his last breath. The most painful thing is that you’re not allowed to see them, only a short while every day. Breaks my heart thinking of him being alone with strangers taking care of him in his last moments. So I was really glad to hear Huxley got to spend his last moment home with the people he loved.
ahhh good to know! if only there would have been some way to preserve that set for fans to visit as some kind of paid attraction…
This was a truly wonderful episode. So much wisdom.
This really hit home for me… I lost my dog of 17 years Monday morning. I miss my boy like you wouldn’t believe, but I’m still so happy to have had him in my life for that long.
