Me too. I’m still lugging around a 30GB Zen Vision:M. But, my wife has us beat: she’s still lugging around a first gen Zen Jukebox.

(If a direct link is added to the description later, it wasn’t here when I wrote this comment, sorry!)
Is the plan to never have a direct to the episode right in the player like the last site? Why are features removed that could easily be there? I can understand the Youtube thing, but everything else is weird.
Still love the podcast though, just expressing some concern.
You guys were right on about youtube comments and the anonymity of the internet. Edd Gould (legend in the flash animator community) died last week and his friends put together a youtube video about his death. The comments were literally the worst things I’ve read in a while.
I found the discussion over the troll who was jailed to be fascinating. I’m loving the mixture of tech, science and general societal talk. Really enjoying the “new” Tested.
So, you guys are gonna apologize every time you guys swear or what.
So much love for the Tested podcast.
They should just call it Playstation David-Bowie-Labyrinth-Mirror-Crystal-Sphere-Thing™
Great show guys 🙂
The problem is that self moderation doesn’t work. Check your example reddit: racist shit gets upvoted there regularly every day. If you want a quality community, some moderation is required, otherwise the echo chamber over takes the community.
Free Speech is great and should always be a thing when talking about governments. But a website on the internet isn’t the government, it’s a private organization. If the owners/moderators of a website want to lock/block certain types of conversations that isn’t an oppression of free speech, that’s just the normal operation of society. Just like if I went to a NAACP meeting and starting spewing racist shit I would get thrown out, and that’s not a violation of free speech.
For the record I don’t think that guy should have gone to jail.
This is a super good episode, but Will: God damn, stop constantly interrupting everyone!
If you ever need a quick fix…

Wow, Will really is grumpy in this episode for some reason.
Fucking awesome.
Will Smith is getting real negative in his old age. I liked him better when he was on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Hey guys! If you’re not sure about going to the sushi place in the film, my girlfriend and I went to an AMAZING sushi place at Tsukiji Fish Market which had SUPER friendly and considerate sushi chefs and the sushi I had there was probably one of my top three meals in my life.
You can read her blog post about the place and plan your trip accordingly. It was also the first time I had a white fish sushi that I really liked because usually it’s one of those pieces that you don’t want to eat because it’s not as interesting. The wait was two hours and we paid 3900 yen for the omakase which is incredibly reasonable considering the quality of the sushi.
Where can I find the rss feed?

Great show this week, fellas.
The Comcast (fuck Xfinity straight in the ass) app on Xbox Live is complete garbage. Not that I would know how it actually is, like Will, I still can’t log in to the damn thing
Of course private organizations reserve the right to kick or ban anyone that says or does something they deem offensive. What I’m opposed to is the idea that the government must be involved in this. When it’s a private community like reddit, the problem works itself out and the offender is either banned or voted down enough to not be noticed.
Am I the only one who felt that Will was kind of dismissive when he said that some people really went crazy when they launched the new site? Sure, a lot of people overreacted but the Tested team certainly did a really bad job handling the transition.
Great podcast as always guys, too bad Gary was in such a hurry!
Fair enough but I’m not sure I would describe it like that. Will said that they would handle it differently if they ever did something like this in the future. He also said that the podcast wasn’t the right venue for it and that they would talk about it another time. I’m waiting…
Is it me or do they need to get a place instead on their house. Norm sounds depressed. I’m guessing not doing a normal routine is gettin to him.
Please guys, don’t give those fucking Next Gen rumor click whore pieces a second thought and don’t talk about them on the podcast: the PS4 is more than likely verrrrrry early in it’s design period, and NOTHING is certain at this point. Sony is going to almost certainly release their next gen after Microsoft, as they are only just now finally making money. It won’t even be ANNOUNCED this year, in fact an announcement it probably at least a year away, and then the release even further out than that. There is no way they will say no to fucking used games. PC games do NOT prevent multiple owners so long as they aren’t used at the same time unless they use internet based DRM. Go to Gamestop right now and try to buy a PS2 game new. Chances are you’ll find a used copy more easily, especially for early games. But those games are absolutely purchased. And there is no way they will give up on that, because it’d piss everyone off.
It is WAY too early for anyone to know jack shit about what things will ACTUALLY be. At best, there might be a vague idea of what Sony and MS are thinking right now. I spoke to someone who is on the next gen Xbox team about the current state of XBL, and he was talking about how there’s no way they could do a digital only console because too few people have fast, consistent internet, and the amount of work that would have to go into Microsoft’s infrastructure would also be huge.
If anything, the next gen consoles will have built in support for project 10 dollar, hopefully a hands free tech that assigns the code to the CONSOLE and maybe it’ll pull up a prompt to pick the account that can use it anywhere, without putting in a code, just by putting the game into the drive. But the idea of a download only, or new game only future is silly as things stand now. It’s not impossible, but it’s also not a decision that has been made yet.
But seriously guys, these rumors are designed to get clicks and nothing else, don’t help the circle jerk continue. Days after that “no new games on Xbox Next” rumor the EXACT same rumor came out about the PS4. These things just pull in clicks for ad revenue. That’s it.
I get the desire to discuss these rumors, but it’s all silly. There’s a reason a lot of that stuff lately hasn’t really been on the Bombcast.
Thank you for the direct link. I’m continually disappointed with the site design/function since the change. There are so many little things/conveniences that are missing now.
I feel I need to post this, maybe I’m a bit late, but what the hell.

I believe Gary is quite wrong. I also believe that people don’t have the automatic right to be offended by things.
