Much better discussion of the Windows 10 event than last week. Think Norm is right that the Lumia’s will be perfectly nice phones but are the last hangover of Nokia collaboration whereas the one’s in a further six months’ time will be all Microsoft.
Been running the Win10mobile preview for the last month and think you’re too quick to dismiss the universal apps, not just for continuum (nice trick, not for the normal user), because it’s really nice to have a similar feeling experience across all devices up to full PCs. Snap the mail app to half screen, drag it as narrow as possible and it’s exactly the same as it is on the phone. Combined with far better cloud syncing across all devices than they were able to do before this unification (and better than the average experience in the Apple ecosystem) and it’s a really promising and pleasant experience.

EMC makes storage devices. They are very very heavily involved in data centers etc. They also own VMWare. TO be clear, Dell bought EMC to replace their shitty own server line that’s aging, and for the software revenue from VMWare.
EMC doesn’t have a cloud (ok they kinda do too) but that’s not their mane product

You guys want to see a VERY ANGRY group of KickStarter backers, take a look at the “Stone Tether” project. They are a long time past release date, keep updating with janky and fishy updates, and don’t even update their live website. The website says products will be released in August… Backers are calling scam and asking for refunds.
I’m only in for $20 so if I get screwed I’m not worried, but I feel bad for the others who put in much larger amounts.

Wow, I went to a Shake Shack and it was pretty terrible compared to other expensive burger places like Five Guys and even Smashburger. The fries were so bad the company actually changed the fries since I went. They were thin and dry and now they’re crinkle cut. And the shake was just bad, like bad artificial flavoring bad; if you name your place after something it better be good. The burger was fine but it couldn’t save the meal. The meal couldn’t even live up to the fancy furniture in the place.
