  1. Here in Germany the first screening is Thursday 0:00 am and I managed to get tickets for Thursday 06:00 am. Most cinemas have their own reservation website here, so the websites didn’t really go down.

  2. No Video?

I don’t ‘like’ listening to the audio (4:05)
    I have no choice!!!!!

    there is no video….

    whine

    whinge

    moan

  3. No video… No problem… Listen to it like a podcast!!! That’s what we do up here in PDX, where the cool kids are.

  4. This is like that time when Lt. Commander Riker takes command of the Enterprise-D after Picard was abducted by the evil VR Borg…

  5. 4PM on Saturday. Going with 7 friends. We’re seeing it in IMAX…. WITH LASER PROJECTION. 1 of 5 Theatres in North America with IMAX’s best projection technology. 😀

  6. Here in Belgium we can watch Star Wars The Force Awakens on Wednesday 16 December.
The first screening is at 9:45AM. But I’ll have to wait till 9:30PM! So excited!

  7. Ugh, can I add Back to the Future to my list of things I want to be warned about at the beginning of episodes so I know that I can skip the first 10-15 minutes?

    The list so far:

    Star Wars

    Back to the Future

  8. I’m flying down from Seattle for the show! I haven’t heard if there will be any meetups either before or afterwards. Last year, the show was on Saturday afternoon and the meetup was held later that evening. Since the show this year is in the evening and the VIP ticket meet and greet is right afterwards, I’d imagine it will be pretty hard to pull off a meetup, especially since Norm is headed down to LA on Saturday for the Back to the Future event.

  9. I may be courting disappointment, but I won’t be buying Star Wars tickets ahead of time. I don’t know what I’m doing next week, let alone mid December.

Here in Australia, it comes out a full day ahead of America, though with timezone adjustment it’s more like two days ahead, and there are so many screenings scheduled at my pokey local multiplex, I think I should be able to just walk in.

  10. HTC released their new $400 iPhone 6-esque looking phone this week, The HTC One A9. Did you somehow miss that announcement, Norm?

  11. Here in Finland the premiere is on the 16th as well. But here the first screening is at 10:45…though to our time difference I guess it’s at the same time. (I got tickets for the evening however, since I have other engagements for the day.)

  12. Here in Estonia the special midnight premiere starts in the first minute (12:01 a.m.) of the 18th. Which in “Time and date at Tested HQ” – is 2:01 p.m. on the 17th.

  13. Wait, starwars is coming out this year?! I thought it was next! Don’t think I’ll go see it, when will it be on Netflix…?

  14. Oh by the way, on the Model S Autopilot function:

Automatic steering and adaptive cruise control is nothing new, the really new functions Tesla offers is the ability to let go of the wheel for longer than a few seconds before getting an alert tone, and the ability to change lanes just by indicating.

And contrary to what Norm and Jeremy seemed to assume, it seems Model S:s do share their experience and learn: https://www.reddit.com/r/teslamotors/comments/3pxho0/autopilot_is_already_improving/

  15. Is anyone having problems with playback of this podcast? Every time I stop it resets to a random point on the episode. I’m also not able to scrub through the timeline as the same thing happens as soon as I let go. It’s only happening with this podcast, none of the others are affected and I even tried another player but had the same issues.

Did you guys change your production process this week?
