  1. PAGG is a great show. Wish I was still in CA to enjoy. Maybe next year bring Joey and do a short piece on what a Pinball show can be like for the first timer.

  2. Mario Mario. Who would do that?

There are a couple of high profile and recently retired English footballers who are brothers, Phil Neville and Gary Neville who played for Manchester United and the England national team. Their dad was called Neville Neville.

  3. Hey, I’ve been a Tested Premium Member since premium memberships started and I don’t remember seeing any The Amazing Race audition tape!

  4. Also, as awful as the Super Mario Bros movie is, I still enjoy it. Also also, you’re getting the joke wrong:

    Desk Sergeant: Name?
    Mario: Mario.
    Desk Sergeant: Last name?
    Mario: Mario.
    Desk Sergeant: And you?
    Luigi: Luigi.
    Desk Sergeant: Luigi Luigi?
    Luigi: No, Luigi Mario!
Desk Sergeant: How many Marios are there between the two of you?
Luigi: There’s three: Mario Mario and Luigi Mario.

I remember the happy meal toys being awesome, too.

  5. There were Premium Memberships back in the Whiskey Media days that went away when Tested was bought by BermanBraun and joined forced with Adam and Jamie. The Amazing Race video, which has been mentioned a few times over the years, must have been from those days (it was before my time :)).

  6. He isn’t in the list of Tested staff under their videos any more. He was also briefly removed from the header right after the announcement that Mythbusters was ending, during which he talked about not wanting to be in the public eye any more, in terms of “on camera” work.

Joey was talking about editing a new video bumper the other day, the old one not only has Jamie but also Will, so I’m expecting at least a minor redesign to happen soon to bring the site assets up to date with the current staff situation.

  7. The fact that Norm can’t remember Octobercast is maybe a good indicator of why it had to stop. Wouldn’t mind a charity event once a year tho. Still following Space Rocks on twitter.

  8. Given the chaos in the office when we paid a visit last year to drop off the goody bag… Lets hope the place is larger and can have a dedicated work area and studio area.

Given that we’ve just moved house and have recent experience… I’d hate to pack up most of the stuff in your office.

Enjoy it… if you can. 😉

  9. has there ever been a clearer example of film execs having *ZERO* idea about how to handle intellectual properties than making a trilogy out of tetris? tetris being genuinely unsuitable to the film treatment is one thing (that i’d imagine would not deter some adventurous folk), but a trilogy is… no.

as for nintendo films: i strongly vouch for a star fox film with stop motion animated puppets in the style of the snes box art!

and general fuck yeah educational VR! i’ve been thinking for a while about yeah, games in VR are a pretty neat idea, but the ability to put you in the presence of prehistoric/extinct/rare animals, or historical artefacts too valuable or fragile to be put on exhibition, or sites that are off-limits for whatever reason (destroyed, too dangerous, submerged…), or to stand on a hill napoleon stood on, seeing what he could see, and having his intel on a desk in front of you, to see what the man based his strategic decisions on, that would be HUGE.

  10. I enjoy helping in my own little way. I hope someday I can visit. Meanwhile I’ll see Adam next time he’s doing a show in Michigan and keep on watching.
