I was skeptical about listening to an old episode of a tech podcast, but this was actually super interesting.
I didn’t realise it was an old episode until they started talking about Windows 8. Until then everything seemed relevant..

Also miss Gary / the slightly “European” tinted view on things, esp. with the elections, even when the Podcasts stayed clear of politics for the most part.
This episode makes me realise just how much I miss Gary as a regular on the podcast.

I created an account just so that I could comment on this. I’ve been listening to the podcast and watching the channel for a few years and my god has it been so much better since Will left. I do not wish any ill on him, and I’m happy that he has been able to achieve cool things like Ars Technica, Tested and now Foo. But my god if he isn’t the most self important piece of shit who would constantly try to shit on everyone because they aren’t as good as him. He constantly try’s to project that he is simultaneously this hip young millennial, but also a wise old man from a bygone generation. He is the definition of why people do not like “California”. I got so tired of all the times he would shut Norm down, and talk shit about Norm for being too young, or just “he doesn’t get it”. He is not the center of the fucking world, so just chill out. I hope that he has a wonderful life with his family, but Jesus fuck I don’t enjoy your attempts to shuv everything that you believe down my throat.

At least prices are down quite a bit! $25,000, wowzers! And the outro not being at the end of the podcast threw me off a little bit.
Norm has really elevated this podcast. Better chemistry and he’s simply a great host!
