Podcast - This Is Only a Test
Episode 44 – Welcome to the CESpool – 1/6/201
In the first of our nightly CES podcast/live video streams, Will, Norm, Matt, and pretty much everyone else here talk about the day’s press conferences, including info from LG, Intel, Nvidia, Samsung, Lenovo, Panasonic, and Microsoft. Also, Norm tells a story three times, because the stream kept dropping. (This is the audio-only archive of the 1/5/2010 late night live stream)

What? Can’t Wait…
Late night podcasts!
Thanks for all your crazy tired ridiculous work!
oh nice! i missed the live stream, but this will suffice.
This a FANTASTIC train wreck of a show! More please!!
Also a question for Will, did you hear about MakeMKV from the forums?
If so then you’re welcome 😉
Tested podcasting and drinking? Can’t end up good, Will is goddamn terrible when he is drunk. I’m going to listen to hear how this ends!

This is the best kind of trainwreck
What a crazy podcast! Thanks for staying up late to bring the podcast.
The horror. The horror.
Good lord, when Norm restarts his stupid, stupid story about that racist 5″ tablet and grind the whole podcast to a halt is one of the best moments in audio history.
Also, I love how Will laughs his ass of when ask if Samsung will update the Galazy Tab.
crazy stuff going down at ces it seems.
There we go.
Now we know the truth, it was norm’s fault that they didn’t know the live stream crashed!
YEAH!
best story ever
None of it being interesting in the least…..Going from this train wreck of a podcast anyway.
As ridiculously hilarious as this was, the casual, disorganized nature got somewhat irritating to listen to around the last 45 minutes. In other words, Will’s maniacal laughter, along with constant interruptions got to be a bit…excessive, at best.
But I’ll chalk it up to the extreme tiredness of the staff, and the fact that it was the first day, after a long drive, etc.
yep, this podcast stands for 99.9% of the crazy bit.
Wow…
You guys make CES a lot more fun and cool than it probably really is
Yes. This is the worst podcast ever. And I laughed my face off.
DON’T DO IT AGAIN!!!
This podcast was fucking atrocious. Wow. Not in a good way. Keep in mind that the podcast listeners far outnumber the live stream audience. So seriously, to hell the the stream audience. Don’t stop the stories or freak out if the stream dies. Actually, try not to let Norm tell stories any more, just as a general rule. Of course, I could always not listen, but I actually love the off the cuff nature of your broadcasts. But there’s off the cuff and there’s utter misery…
i liked it
wow… Norm’s story with the Koreans was so bad. Please don’t let Norm tell stories anymore when he’s tired.
Worst. Story. Ever.
Seriously Will’s interruptions and laughing made that story soooo much worse, sure that story sucked but the constant interruptions made me want to hurt things.
Norm is not always the… best, at telling stories. And he was drunk. And Will was drunk.
You know, Norm’s story would have gone a lot faster if everyone else didn’t interrupt him every single fucking second…
Seriously, guys, this was not good. If you want to do a podcast when tired and drunk, at least keep it short. Maybe don’t do one at all. This was on the level of Giant Bomb’s inaugural 2011 TNT, which was also terrible. Bad things happen to podcasts when tiredness and drink are involved. Not trying to be mean or anything.
Un-f*cking-listenable. Constant interruptions throughout every god damn story, stuff that don’t really play on audio format, and the attention span of a cat with a ball of yarn.
Norm is the worst at telling a story, probably worse than whoever kidnapped Lucas and wrote the SW prequels. Added bonus though: he told it three times, you would think he would get better at telling the story after all the practice but don’t get your hopes up.
We can only be thankful that Gary was not there to add to the confusion :). It was funny in the same way that the Microsoft lady’s facebook picture on her Windows phone during the keynotes. (go see the Microsoft keynotes phone part, it is the funniest thing)
Agreed.
you were super fucking drunk, how can I tell?
you were being an asshole to norm, i hope you apologized..
Asshole is not an offensive term against you, but rather the definition of your actions, I could barely hear norm’s story over you.
I still love you will ♥
