  1. Binman88 just commented on your Blog: “The iPad… It’s been jailbroken”.

“Not sure why you’d want the Windows Phone 7 UI – it’s way too minimalistic for my tastes, bordering on dull and uninteresting. “

    Thanks,

  2. Take a moment of silence before the podcast.

PS: Will, you should change the podcast picture to the one on apple.com with the dates to distinguish it from a previous podcast.

  3. it was a video?

    1. You are afroman, don’t lie to yourself

    2. Yeah ,they have been doing them live every thurs. morning for premium members for awhile

Never been able to watch it myself.

  4. really sad to see him pass ,

even though i don’t really care for apple products , i have to say i had/have all the respect in the world for Steve ,

he accomplished a whole lot , and impacted the whole world.

  5. It’s funny every time a bad port of a game comes out on pc(in this case rage), every tech or gaming podcast has “State of PC gaming” or some variance of that in their subject line. Then the next podcast everyone sees the next supposed big PC game and its “PC gaming is ALIVE”. I’m not necessarily talking about Tested but just the subject line sorta gave me a giggle. This should be a good podcast with everything that’s happened this week.

  6. Steve Jobs is one of the few rich people that I actually cared to hear about. No matter what negative things people bring up about Apple now, that company owned the 2000s and I believe Steve Jobs contributed a good deal to the revolutionary vision of Apple (Note: I do not currently own any Apple products, but I acknowledge their contribution to first world society).

  7. Apple IIe was my first taste of computers. Lemonade Stand 4life.

Last Apple product I owned was the fist gen Ipod.

Will be interesting to see if Apple maintains it’s status in the corporation world.

EDIT: Brad was a breath of fresh air. Windows Phone user, Mac owner, PC Gamer…. Not blindly fanatical about any platform. Would be good to have him in when the Nexus Prime comes out to offer a balance to Gary.

  8. It’s awesome that when gave examples of fantastic innovative PC games he mentioned Super Meat Boy and Monday Night Combat both of which came out on Xbox360 first. Made me giggle. Awesome podcast though. Kept me entertained for a long time. More 3h podcast! 😀

  9. God forbid anyone getting truly excited for anything.

And you also missed the point. Getting the iphone 4s during the oktobercast was a big part of the reason why they wanted it on release day (same day as oktobercast in case you didn’t notice).

  10. Great episode, if kind of low on tangents. I was wondering how you were going to handle the Steve Jobs talk and then the 4S talk, but you struck just the right tone for each.

Also: I like Brad on the podcast.

  11. ah the pinkberry story– you made it home before it melted. I always feel like the best husband in the world when i pull off something like that 😉

  12. Brad was a breath of fresh air. Windows Phone user, Mac owner, PC Gamer…. Not blindly fanatical about any platform. Would be good to have him in when the Nexus Prime comes out to offer a balance to Gary.

Agreed, Brad balances out the discussion well.

  13. I’m working my way back through the pod casts. I’m down to episode ~20-23. I don’t get all this hate about how anyone on this podcast is fanatical about a platform. The closest you get is Whitta and he’s admitted to appreciating Windows. That’s not fanaticism. Perhaps everyone’s just bent out of shape because they have a differing opinion and it rocks your world that you might not be right, but I’m really tired of seeing this crap.
