Podcast - This Is Only a Test

Episode 109 – The Wrong Side of History – 02/23/2012

On this week’s episode, Gary hosts, Norm produces, and Jeff sits in to talk about the PS Vita. All that, plus Google’s rumored goggles, OnLive Desktop, and another episode of fake outtakes.

  1. Rolento just replied to your comment:

Well the Zune is certainly one option (for some).  Many of the Creative devices at the time that the iPod first released were great.  If you’re looking for a decent few-frills music player things like the SanDisk Sansa line are great, for example.  Hell, even most smart phones have serviceable music software built in now.

  2. I didn’t watch live but I’m expecting awesome things with Gary at the helm! I also hope that Will feels better soon!

  3. Gary really need to stop talking over people. It was so annoying during the Jeff segment. Both Norm and Gary (mostly Gary) kept talking over Jeff and cuting him out.

  4. After listening to it back myself I agree. In trying to keep the conversation moving I think I tried to interject a few too many times and it led to too much cross-talk and interruption. Hey, it was my first time!

Oh yeah, you did a great job overall so no worry!

  5. All the talk in the podcast about the possibility of dedicated gaming handhelds dying is quite depressing.

As someone who spends a couple of hours a day on a bus, I’d be pretty bummed if I had to settle for the mediocrity of iOS/android gaming.

  6. I wish the video was archived.

    Me too.

Check the subscriber video section. Generally that’s where they put them if you guys are subscribers.

  7. I bet you that Will is just faking being sick, so that he can be home right now building another death star that he bought, so that he can come in already knowing how to do it quick, or he’ll complete it and just bring it in, claiming some kind of outside the box “kobayashi maru” rule just to win. Watch out, he’s tricky.

  8. I wonder what the difference is between the entitlement mentality that drives piracy and the entitlement mentality of the occupiers. Future discussion perhaps?

  9. I think is checking out the star destroyer for mistakes and when Norm raises his hands to say “I’m done”, Will is going to challenge and make Norm take it apart to fix the mistakes. If Will says anything now, it’s a quick fix, but later it will be devastating.
