Are these the Terry English videos from 2017? Or am I missing something?
yep yep, they’re the videos we released back in 2017.
Apple already renegged on the no-compensation thing.
Creative competitions that reserve rights for non-winning entries are ALWAYS bad. Creative competitions where winners are not compensated to full-commercial rates are ALWAYS bad.
Fuck Apple for trying to pull a fast one on users. Of course it isn’t about saving money, it is about laziness and not giving enough of a shit to do things properly. They frame themselves as allies of creative professions, but keep pulling dumb stuff like this out of their ass.
Stacy Perman in the LA Times:
“Inside Skydance, the mood after the announcement was one of shock and anxiety. In one account, audible gasps could be heard when the news went out, with female staffers crying in their offices. In another, Lasseter’s arrival was described by one employee as the end of “a happy and creative work environment.”
I’m with Patrick on ev’s. The engine on my 2010 Chevy Colorado just blew out a rear main seal and I would love nothing more than to ship it off to EVwest, but a guy from work was almost stranded last week with his model S when he had to drive 30 miles to find a supercharger. He was down to 2% when he got there. I had high hopes when Bob Lutz who “killed the electric car” started VIA Motors and started making extended range ev trucks, but they’ve only been making fleet vehicles. Every company that is trying to make ev trucks is making luxury vehicles, while I just want a chevy luv with an electric drivetrain.
