Lol Norm howling in pain during the GDC segment when learning about all the missed opportunities ^^. I take you won’t miss the next one ? 😉
I *just* finished listening to the podcast, and I’m already noticing people saying, “Right?” in response to someone else’s statement. And now it’s starting to annoy me, too.
*A RIGHT?!?
RIGHT!
Right!, I may have gone back and watched a heap of old episodes over the last few months (Garry and the iPhone 4? lol) to round out my Tested experience. I think i may have consumed all of the This is only a test podcast as well… that’s got to be like 600 hours… Don’t tell my wife….
“Things that annoy Jeremy” might be one of the greatest segments of all time.
Appel design problem example:
The display cable on my 2016 13′ Macbookpro is breaking given me the stage light ‘flexgate’ problem on the perfectly functioning display. On any labtops the cables to the display will eventually break. Usually it is a $6-20 part. Apple wants me to pay $600 to exchange the entire screen because Apple designed the cable so that it cannot be replaced. Even for Apple that is obscene. This is either a design mistake or deliberate build-in obsolescence for customer pilfering. If the newer Macbookpros (2018 Macbook Pros seem to have similar problems) have the same design one cannot buy Apple labtops anymore. Will be pain since I am using Apple since 1987 but a company that does that to me will not get my money ever again.
I’ve enjoyed the episode of ‘Love, Death and Robots’ I’ve seen so far. But if you’re looking for really cool style animation, check out the movie ‘MFKZ’ which is a co-lab between Japanese and French animators…it’s pretty violent, but really well done…
Okay Jeremy’s “Things that annoy me” segment definitely needs to keep going AFTER episode 500, this is extremely entertaining and relatable and I love it
Normally an ardent Will supporter, I finally agree with his haters for this ep. Seething negativity, overly snarky, unauthentic outrage, and interruptions galore. I love you, Will. But maybe a tad less caustic. This is Tested, not Morton Downy Jr Show.
Otherwise, keep on keepin’ on, guys.
