Audio sounded better in my car than any of the previous podcasts. I could hear everyone all the time.
Although it would be a little corny I’d like to see Barclay brought back as the head curator of a Star Fleet museum with holographic archives (not unlike the type of thing featured at the end of Enterprise) and use it as a framing device of an anthology series for telling small arc stories (1 to 3 episodes) with characters from any of the previous and current series. Fill in some of the blanks between series (and maybe beyond depending on when it is set).
Hey, serious audio sync issues by the 1:10 minutes. I think it slightly corrects later?
I’d suggest you folk investigate the Phillip Pullman series a little more. The Nicole Kidman led film was not much like the novels. Its not a kids fantasy, its very dark and has strong religious themes. It is a fantasy. Complex and interesting but not like the awful film of a few years ago. So bad they never made the follow up films. Your in pod description came from having no idea. 🙂
I read the first book – but didn’t see the movie (sounds like I made the right choice). I hear you on the religious themes, but I still wouldn’t call the book dark compared to contemporary fantasy. Hope it turns out well on HBO!
