  1. That Nokia phone (808) can take full res photos (~40MP). It’s doesn’t only do those resized photos. Those low iso, full resolution images are amazing.

  2. Whining about projectors in phones was funny to me since it’s basically the same as AirPlay on iOS for me, except you don’t need two other devices to show people pictures on your phone.

  3. ugh, Big Bang Theory is TERRIBLE, just dumb pandering to the HAHA NERDS ARE FUNNY people. How I Met Your Mother is like the one laugh track show that is actually watchable (and i still think Seinfeld is the best show made, laugh track or no). NPH and Jason Segel make HIMYM awesome.

  4. Google’s never going to outright block out advertisements for competing products, let alone mask those products themselves via their “goggles.” I thought yall were just joking around about it first, but you seem seriously concerned..

If they were interested in doing that, they’d block competing ads in their browsers on current devices in a similar fashion. They won’t do it not because some greedy corporate type doesn’t want to – I’m sure the thought immediately crossed someone at Google’s mind – but because it’d be terrible PR.

And yeah, they need to get this Android OS shit together. Phones shouldn’t be coming out that far behind the curve. Nobody is that fucking hard up for a projector. Much of the delay comes from development of those skins they slap over Android, but that shit isn’t even necessary with ICS.

Wrong. Airplay is a software feature and doesn’t add volume or mass to the phone. Putting a pico projector inside the phone makes it much bigger for minimal value.

Neither of those were mentioned. It was the functionality that was talked about. They both provide a feature of displaying something from the phone to an audience not looking at your phone. While I don’t need the functionality from either phone, I can see the use case for the projector and assume no one else could use it. I can also see the use case of iPhone to AppleTV to TV, but they all involve people bought in heavily into the Apple ecosystem. Anyways, these are Android phones, they’re already bigger and heavier than iPhones.
