Adam and friends, I’ve seen your tool organization/storage obsession and mold making. There are tons of videos showing mechanics cutting out foam to fit tools in drawers, is it possible to pour silicone in a drawer full of tools to do the same thing as the foam? Most mold-making silicones have a limited shelf-life and are susceptible to light, air, temperature and so on. To make sure they last, they need to be stored at a stable temperature, preferably in a airtight bag or box, out of the light (which tbf, a drawer inlay would be).
Otherwise, depending on the silicone, they can leak oil, get brittle, etc. so I am not sure they are the best choice for tool storage.
