Adam Savage’s One Day Builds: Hellboy Samaritan Bandolier!
The next stage of Adam’s Hellboy Samaritan replica build is to make an accessory…for the accessories! To showcase the handcrafted prop rounds that were recently machined, Adam turns to making a leather bandolier belt of his own design, though inspired by a licensed replica of the movie prop belt. Time to break out Adam’s beautiful leatherworking toolkit and make use of a new tool: the leather strap cutter. Plus, Adam gets to weathering and tarnishing the brass shells with a tried and true aging technique!

If you imagine this piece as something used, with different bullet types available for different situations, a great addition would be to stamp or punch different holes, impressions, or edge notches in the loops for each type of bullet, so you could reach the kind you want by feel, without looking. Would add story.
A tip for you, Adam if you don’t already know it. If you shave off half of the belt thickness in the buckle end using a leather planer, you end up with the same thickness for the whole length of the belt. Commonly used by craftsmen making belts.
