1. I admire your perseverance. For me it’s different, once i’m done with a (big) project i really cannot find it in me to make it again, even though i’m sure it would go way better a second time. It pretty much comes down to the fact that i really dislike making something twice, but also the “mystery” if you will, is gone.
   The research, obsession and putting the whole project inside my head is the best thing about making, once it’s done, that’s gone.
   I’d rather spend my time making something new and exciting 😀

   I don’t mind improving on things, UNLESS it’s a really old project. I’m obsessed with nostalgia and thus i don’t like tempering with that. It is what it is and i want to keep it that way, even if it’s not perfect.

2. Well said Adam. I primarily do restoration / conservation and replication of historic weaponry and I absolutely love the process from the day I get the wild idea to do something right through the research and execution. I love it all. Now I just need to make enough money to build a house with enough room to show it all off. 🙂

3. Well, you’ve answered my question. I’ve wondered for all of the cosplay costumes you do, you not tend to do much work in EVA foam (i.e. Bill Duran, Evil Ted.) It’s because “weight” and “authenticity” are of primary importance to you. You can make foam look like leather or iron (and it’s fast, and cheap, and a blast) but it literally has no weight when you pick it up and wear it. There’s no “experience” in putting it on. (I’d still love to hear you talk about working in foam.)
