I’m sure you get asked similar questions a lot. What are your recommendations for helping increase chances of being hired at a film production company?
ILM have just announced they are opening a studio in Sydney and I’ve dreamed of working for Weta Workshops for years. (I currently live in Canberra, will move given the opportunity)
Although I feel I am not quite ready to apply for such jobs as I feel my experience and skills aren’t as ‘good’ as I’d like them to be just yet, an expression of interest cant hurt.
I’m a cosplayer and maker of stuff in my spare time so I have a bit of a portfolio to offer. But I do plan on taking prop making courses and forgery classes to beef up my resume for the kind of career I actually want.
Are there any other courses or things you’d recommend I study up on to help me get a job in VFX production in film?
