Adam Savage’s One Day Builds: God of War’s Leviathan Axe!
Adam makes the iconic Leviathan Axe from the God of War games as a Christmas gift for his nephew! Using straightforward reference of the in-game axe found online, Adam scratch builds this replica prop out of sintra PVC foamboard for the axehead and carves a real wood handle. Including the paint and wood stain finish, it’s a true One Day Build that takes just one day to complete from start to finish!

Hi Adam, I spent years as a Graphic Artist for a publishing company. Tiling images was something I would do at least once a week for proofs of trade show booth displays, etc. It’s actually a petty simple process. Make your image full size in photoshop and save it. Then make an InDesign file that is the same dimensions. drop the photoshop file onto the InDesign page, center it, etc. Go to Print > Setup. At the bottom, you will see a checkbox called Tile. Check that, set your justification and overlap, and boom you’re done. Hope this helps!
left this on youtube but guessing it may fall under “don’t read the comments”.
for your full size print, have you tried rasterbator? (I know kinda a horrible name) I think it is freeware/shareware (or used to be) to make big multipage prints from images. maybe what you are after?
I left my comment above about InDesign on “One day builds: Luke’s Lightsaber” as well but I guess it didn’t get seen since he mentioned it again in this video. I can’t say I blame people who make videos for staying out of the comments section. But I do find the comments on Tested videos mostly positive. As a community, makers we’re usually pretty positive people. Here’s to hoping somehow it gets to him from here.
