Adam Savage’s One Day Builds: Hellboy Samaritan Carrying Case!
Even though Adam’s build of the Hellboy Samaritan prop replica is yet to be completed, the project is at a point where he wants to properly store and display the piece in a carrying case appropriate to the universe of Hellboy. We know how much Adam loves making in-universe boxes, and the Samaritan goes through this rite of passage as Adam paints, weathers, and creates a stenciled logo for the case that his Samaritan will live in between upgrades and additional work!

Watching the ODB now and noticed you weren’t able to figure out the font. While YOU might already be aware of this one website, so of your viewers (& readers here) may not be: http://www.identifont.com/
Identifont has been a boon for me trying to figure out which fonts are on my source documents.
Same poster…..used the website and I think ITC Bolt (EF) was a damned close match.
Hi Adam, just another tool you may have not used. when grabbing from still’s, as you did for the type on the box lid, have you looked into, or tried, the perspective warp tool, as an ex LRP/Prop maker when is now an IT Technician and Adobe educator at The Northern School of Art, this is a technique I have shared with a lot of students over the last couple of years, it’s not perfect but gets you really close really quickly.
