I love Alfie, he needs to be in all of your Ask Adam videos.
I did the same math looking at the clock during CD assembly and shrink wrapping. It still works with other tedium. What a great question.
Love seeing Alfie! Should we change it to ask Adam and Alfie?
My question is for Alfie: Who’s a good doggie? Whhooooo’s a good doggie?
Very similar to my process as an examiner, grading hundreds of exam papers. Wonderful too see the approaches that cross boundaries of task and industry.
I used similar techniques when I was a production glass blower. With a stopwatch on my desk I raced myself to improve my speed, without sacrificing quality.

My question for Adam: How do you deal with the urge to start over during a project? Often I will be working on a project and then get the urge to start over and do it better. Its led to a lot of incomplete projects lying around the house.
I cope by watching Tested 🙂 or other similar things. The extras on the LOTR DVDs were what brought me to making and kept me going.
Audiobooks/podcasts and the like help me. My brain works on multiple things at once, so I’m able to listen to the input while working on the project.
I picked this up after reading a blog post from Larry Correia, the author of the Monster Hunter International series. He was writing the post about when he works on minis for wargaming (his restorative for creative juices, his current game of choice is Infinity).
Anyone else think the coke is an accident? The label is very noticable.
