We’ve had the Shadowtrooper armor kit from Anovos completed since last year, but one addition kit that we wanted to build was the helmet. Over the course of a day, Frank and Norm tackle the helmet build, showing you how to clean up the vacuum-formed parts and put them together. With only four plastic pieces, this is a great place to start on your own Stormtrooper kit!

Avegant’s Glyph was conceived of as a way to watch movies and play games in a head-mounted display, but its more interesting use is as a FPV viewer for camera-equipped drones. We check out the final production version of the Glyph and test it with the DJI Phantom 3 and Inspire 1 with head-tracking.

Razer is known for unveiling far-out gaming hardware concepts at CES, but this year’s product reveal seems more practical. The Razer Blade Stealth is an Ultrabook, running an Intel Core i7 processor and integrated graphics. However, games can run on an external graphics card in the form of the Razer Core, which simply connects to the laptop over a Thunderbolt cable!

One really interesting product we demoed at CES is the Livestream Movi, a 4K camera that lets you live mix and edit the scene while you record or stream the video live. The associated app impressed us with its ability to generate digital crops, pans, and zooms from the 4K video, as if we were using a dedicated video mixer.
At CES 2016, we chat with the inventors of the Nixie wearable drome–a small quadcopter that autonomously flies and returns to you after taking a photo. We learn about how the Nixie was conceived, the challenges of programming its autonomous movements, and get a demo of the prototype!
